Metro Hotel Perth, South Perth Reviews
Staying in Perth for a weekend when living in the Bush can be tricky. Found a great place called the Metro South Perth. Lovely and clean, check in and check out was fast and efficient. Staff very friendly and helpful. In house breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice. My biggest advice is bring your own pillow, don't think I've ever had a worse pillow. If you are tall don't expect to wash your hair, the shower head is very low.
Location is good if you have a car. Parking is free. However the room, furnishing, air conditioning, everything is very old. Not for the fussy. Basic room for about $100 a night. Easy to get a lot.
I was here for a business seminar. It was well catered and well laid out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking onsite was also great.
I just booked into the Murray Hotel in West Perth. I didn't need photo I.D which the Metro said was "law" in W.A. These mongrels used this excuse to steal money from me and force me to drive 450 k's back to the bush. I will never book this hell hole again.
As a return customer we have stayed here several times. Every weekend the last few weeks and had intended to continue this until tonight. We requested an upgrade. We were told we had one of the best rooms no upgrade was needed. Went into the new tiny room small bed with a view over ooking the car park. Never had such an awful room. This is not the room we usually book so I requested a review. I requested to be upgraded to the type of room we usually book. I was told that yes but would be charged $20 extra. We had paid $135 already. The room we are staying in is the typical room we book. It has now cost $155 yet is advertised currently at $137. No way to treat repeat loyal customers who use this motel for work guests, including regular stays. Future 8 weeks stays will be cancelled. Need to stay in Perth ever weekend until February but will no longer be the Metro. Very poor customer service, charged for changing room. Will no longer use this for work. Unhappy customer D. M.
