Anzac park was built in memory of the Southport soldiers who died during World War I. Further, additional trees were planted in it and a plaque was erected to commemorate the fallen of World War Two. Within the park, you can watch the famous ANZAC Monument, lovely tribute to the fallen and the Sculpture of of Maddie and her bear Mike. It is a beautiful park with a great view over the Broadwater a covered BBQ area.

There is also a nice cafe where the adults can relax and there are often events in the centre stage area. The place is also famous as it hosts Anzac Day, a day which marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

  • I think there is something for everyone in this park. Walking, Blading, Kids Playground, Waterpark, fishing, Sunbathing, Swimming etc. Easy to access and I have not had any problems finding a park. Parking is paid but a small fee for a great place. I think this place would be super busy on weekends and holidays so may be go in the off times. (Still busy then, lol)

  • Nice little park with a great view. Good for the kids.

  • Nice place to visit, with views of the water... if you can afford it. I was unable to find a single free car park in sight in the whole park. Basically you have to pay to enjoy the park. I thought this was supposed to be a public amenity, not a money making scheme.

  • Very nice location, nice view, good for BBQ, picnic, exercise, yoga, taichi, runnkng, jogging,

  • Excellent views of the ocean, fantastic park for the kids and great for picnics.
