About Ravadinovo Castle, Sozopol

A castle in every sense but historical, the Ravadinovo is a masterpiece. You might mistake it for an ancient castle but it’s actually a modern project designed to look like a medieval castle. Built with stones on a sprawling area of 30,000sqm the castle has a garden, artificial lake, lot of big halls which gives a royal feel. It also has a wine cellar which you can taste if you wish. At night the look and feel of the castle from the grounds is even more brilliant with the all the lightings. Some think it’s akin to Disneyland, other’s feel it reminds them of Hogwarts. Whatever it may be it can only be decided after a visit.

  • *sarcasm on* This was the most fabulous castle I have ever visited. It gives you a proper medieval atmosphere and you can really feel it's age and historical value. *sarcasm off* Now for real. If Disneyland went bankrupt a few months before opening it's first park, you would have something like Ravadinovo, but probably better. It's artificially made and not all that well. Most things are not finished, like the inside (the most interesting god damn part!). We only entered because we drove out there all the way and the guy gave us the tickets at half price (because we were hesitant to go in), which is still too much, given the fact that you're basically visiting a building site. To be fair, when it's finished, it's probably going to be a cool theme park kinda thing. Until then, not worth while. Which brings me to my last point. I got the impression that they try to fund this thing by tricking tourists into paying for a half finished attraction, somewhat if they ran out of money and are trying to pull a dead horse. *drops mic*

  • It is a fairy tale like castle. Very nicely decorated. You can find a lot of amazing things. I think one should be able to enter the castle itself too not only the park! Recommended!

  • This place is fantastic but we were charged full amount yet could not go into castle should of been half price will go again later in year

  • Artificial yet beautiful place. A lot of places were you can take a look and take pictures. Nice gardens, beautiful landscaping. Fairy-tale atmosphere. A little more expensive though.

  • Could reduce the entrance price.
