Kuenning-dicke Natural Area Reviews & Ratings
Great place for a quick walk outside. Very well set up with the overnight shelter. Reminds me of an Adirondack shelter on the AT.
The natural area is well taken care of and the walking paths are very nice. It has walking paths where you walk on the grass but also has a walking path that is paved.
I had never heard of Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area until after I had returned to Columbus following a brief visit yesterday [7-14-2019] to German Protestant Cemetery for a graveside service for an 88-year-old friend who had been born in -- and had died in -- New Bremen. Google Maps tells me that Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area is directly across the street [on the north side of Lock 2 Rd.] from German Protestant Cemetery. I have done additional research [by telephoning the Auglaize County courthouse] and have learned that German Protestant Cemetery does not have a street address which means that I will probably never be able to add that cemetery as a Google Maps "location." And since Google Maps now "thinks" that I have visited Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area [even though I have never been there though I have been directly across the street], I will write this brief review.
I really nice nature preserve for a walk or spending the evening. I believe there are campsites where you can pitch a tent and stay the night.
Beautiful preserve with paved walking trails.
