  • 10 of us stopped in the Pen Druid this past weekend after a long hike in the VA. mountains. The Carney bros killed it. Thanks for taking such great care of us. Those pints of Pelelope and Marz were life saving

  • Love IPAs and they didn't score for me, not sure if it wasn't tainted with dish soap, tasted more like a Wisen, as you can see the color is gold waxy, like a Wisen. Then switched to a dark ale for fun and it was awful, muddy like taste. Not sure what the draw is to this place, the location is amazing but I choked down two beers so as not to waste them. The staff is very nice, I wish I could love the beer there.

  • Terrific spot, with friendly and attentive owners and staff. Delighted with our visit---a creative selection of styles, not just the standard lineup of IPAs. If following Google maps, direct yourself to the Copper Fox Distillery, as Google has mistaken the GPS location as of the date of this review.

  • Went there after a full day of hiking in Shenandoah, we heard they had great beers/selection but we didn't know they didn't had any food. After a couple 6oz's we had to leave because we were starving (and getting drunk)

  • Great brewery and a nice local scene. Plenty of the usual tourists too. All sorts of varieties and as others have written they aren't always the run-of-the-mill styles. Family friendly, too. You can drink outdoors here.
