Little Spokane River Natural Area Reviews & Ratings
Took a relaxing drift down the Little Spokane in our kayaks. Easy and accessible for all ages but you must pay attention to the currents and foliage on shores. Deep enough so as we didn't have to portage anywhere along from St George's School put in to Nine Mile take out. Plenty of wildlife including birds, turtles and fish. No traffic noise despite being close to town. Not crowded and everyone was friendly and respectful of the peace and environment. Can't wait to go again!
Great place for a quick hike or a long trek depending on what you want. Parking can be crowded on nice days or weekends.
Lovely trails not far from the city. Always love to get out on a nice hike
Did the Knothead/Painted rocks loop the other day. WOW, what a nice hike! Almost seven miles. The views at the top were worth it. Also a nice place to take a breather and maybe have a bite to eat. Will definitely do this one again.
The Knothead trail is a must if you're up for a moderate hike. Your reward for the effort will be a pretty awesome view. Be aware, however. I had two close encounters with rattlesnakes.
