Springbrook is a place where you can get rid of the daily routine of a crowded city life and get to a mountainous region on the Gold Coast located to the South East of Queensland. Springbrook has some of the best waterfalls, cliffs and walks through the forest in the region. Springbrook Mountain at its highest peak is almost 990 meters high. This height offers an amazing view of the natural arch of Gold-Coast.
Springbrook is the trial site for 200 wireless sensors, the trial which can monitor natural phenomenon such as humidity, temperature, light, rainfall, fog, water quality and sound. This technology is developed to help in research for restoration of the natural vegetation.
The wild forest was basically formed 23 million years ago by the eruption of a volcano. A panoramic view from the top of an ancient volcano makes for an extraordinary experience. You will also come across waterfalls that flow down into the depths of the canyon and the coolest swimming holes which cools rock creeks creating a natural bridge. You will be opened up to a weird world of rare birds and even rarer plants, strangler figs, mushrooms glowing in the dark and boulders as big as houses.
