This large 1806 Sufi shrine was famous for its papier-mache decorations but a fire in 2012 ruined that. It’s being restored slowly. Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jelan was a jurist and sufi, and this shrine is dedicated to him and he is interred here. Lovers of the shrine all complain that the new building does not quite have the charm of the old one. The area surrounding the shrine is a busy one, with a market and another mosque close by.
