Pari Mahal - Review
The Pari Mahal is a lovely ruin that is known for the stunning views of the Dal Lake, the mountains and hills and Srinagar city that this place provides. The Name Pari Mahal means Palace of the angels and it is quite apt considering the view is exactly what an angel watching over the city would have/
If you have some time on your hands do visit this place. It is a short drive ahead of Chashmeshahi and is quite picturesque. While the views it provides of Srinagar are quite remarkable, so is its own rustic beauty. The ruins have lovely long arches and tiny hollows that are quite pretty to see. And since it looks so pretty now, one often wonders what it must have looked like in it’s hay-day.

Pari Mahal, Srinagar Reviews
Simply calm place. Nothing much to see but to feel the place. At head it is surrounded by huge mountain and at the feet it is Dal lake. If you didn't get fog you can see entire Dal lake. Awesome place. One thing I would also like to maintain its toilet is very neat and clean and well maintained.
Beautiful place on the top of a mountain. It has been a paradise for Mughal rulers in summer time. They used this place for recreation and spend some time in open sky. It has a view which covers Dal lake and most of the downtown area. Mughal used to lit lamps a lot of them and I wonder how amazing would it look from beneath the mountain..
The seven terraced majestic garden built by Dara Shikoh is magnificent. It was a library and abode of the Prince. It over looks the city of Srinagar and provides a magnificent view of the city. All the seven terraces are connected by stairways which need maintenance. The Palace gardens are well maintained and hosts a wide range of flowers. There are plenty of variety of roses and seasonal flowers. There are a few magnolia trees and the flowers are a delight. The Pari or the angel descends only after dark and by then the place is closed for the visitors thus there is no chance to meet the resident Pari.
