Srisailam has a reasonably pleasing climate throughout the year except during summers when the region experiences a high level of humidity. However, the best time to visit Srisailam is from October to February when the region experiences a pleasant climate, best to explore the city and neighboring areas. The month of February sees a huge amount of travelers to this place as this is the month of Mahashivratri- the festival to honor Lord Shiva which marks the wedding celebration of Shiva and Parvati.

• Winter (October-February): The city of Srisailam experiences winter from October to February and the average temperature ranges between 15 degree Celcius to 28 degree Celsius (59 degree Fahrenheit to 82 degree Fahrenheit). The soothing climate during this season makes it the best time to visit Srisailam. The month of February also marks the sacred Shiva festival- Mahashivratri, which is why this is the peak season for travelers to visit the holy city.
• Summer (March-June): Summers in Srisailam start from March and continue until June. The weather during this time tends to get hot and humid making it an unsuitable time to explore the city. The temperature around this time hovers between 22 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celcius (71 degree Fahrenheit to 104 degree Fahrenheit) which is not usually preferred by most tourists.
• Monsoon (July-September): July marks the arrival of monsoon in Srisailam and the area receives moderate to heavy downpour. The prices during this time for accommodation and sightseeing drop, making it the ideal season to travel for budget travelers. This time might also see heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, making travel a bit difficult. The minimum temperature stays around 23 degree Celsius and the maximum might go up to 33 degree Celsius  (71 degree Fahrenheit to 91 degree Fahrenheit).
