Located 25 kilometre from St George, the Bloomington cave is a rather small cave and you need to be on your knees and elbows to reach the main part. Once inside, you can find structures in limestone here that you will find in very few other places. The stalactites, soda straws, stalagmites and minerals formed here do not resemble crystals or have vibrant colours but look close and you can find just how uniquely formed these structures are.
The deepest part of the cave reaches 240 meters below the parking level. You can also find ocean fossils here- most of them being mussels. For the adventure seekers, the cave is everything- unexpected terrain, tight spots where you need to figure out ways to get ahead safely, temperature changes, sharp cut boulders and insects including scorpions, bats and spiders to keep you company! However, if you have claustrophobia, you would rather miss the cave. If you are up for some adventure, you can spend a few hours here observing the earth and all its lesser known wonders. To avoid any kind of accident, it is recommended that you opt for a guided tour or at least have company when you explore the caves.

Bloomington Cave Reviews & Ratings
Bloomington caves was an amazing experiene! Amazing scenery and spelunking adventure. First time caving and had a blast with my scout troop. Definitly a place to revisit.
I love Bloomington Cave. Even though I'm from Salt Lake, I've been twice and hope to go again soon. The road to the cave can be a bit difficult to follow, but doable most often by a 2WD vehicle with average clearance (although a better vehicle is recommended in case of bad conditions). Don't be fooled by the easy "Boy Scout Route", it isn't too easy. We attempted the most difficult route and got lost and stuck several times. The first time we entered, we got stuck in the Big Room and couldn't find the exit, but it is there at the top of the room if you look hard enough (or you have climb through a small hole on the far left side of the room (looking up). Great cave for beginners and advanced alike!
Not much to see, but interesting for sure!
