Location was great, was within walking distance to a bunch of shops and the beach. Room was average just a little bit old, only real downside was that there is only one outlet in the room to charge any devices (unless you count the outlets in use and the one in the bathroom), made it pretty difficult to charge all 6 of our devices. Service was average too, couple nice people, couple people that don't say hi, housekeeping was pretty low they made the beds, cleared the floor and put out bags in the wardrobe other than that they didn't do much. Tl;dr place is good if you're staying for a few days and need a place to shower and sleep with minimal use of the room.
We had previously had a good experience so decided to stay again 3 months later. Sadly, if our first experience had been like this second one, we would never have returned. We were given what we feel was the absolute worst room in the hotel - at the back about four metres from the tram line. We've never experienced such noise in any hotel, anywhere in the world. When I asked if they could move us to another room they said there was nothing else available unless I was prepared to pay an extra $50 per night. I then asked for a refund of the second night's accommodation so we could go somewhere quieter for the 2nd night. Again, refused. There was no attempt by staff or management to make us happy; we were just repeatedly told that that's what we booked. At no stage during the booking process was there a disclaimer to say we would be expected to sleep on the tram line. I understand rules but there needs to be transparency. They had no concern when I pointed out that we would never come back and our experience with them would be reflected in their review. They simply did not care. They were not interested in good customer relations or giving their customer a good experience; they were just determined to prove that their rules were rules, not to be broken or even bent a little for a repeat customer. We didn't want the honeymoon suite or anything else fancy; we just wanted a quiet night's sleep.
Not sure why this place gets such negative reviews. Nice rooms and great location.
Room was quite good considering the appearance of the hallways - quite dated a d tired. Lobby was nice and staff were helpful and pleasant. Close to all things on offer. Would stay again.
my first time the room was not clean well, the bathroom had the sink all ruined and was not cleaned, the windows were poor because I heard noises as if I had them inside the room, the breakfast despite having the structure was not there and honestly for that that I paid for 28 days, I'm a little too much considered that the room was exposed in the corridor outside towards the hotel parking lot so old rooms.
