Located in Waldau in Germany, Burg Waldau is a medieval castle. The Ministerialengeschlecht the Waldauer built and was the first occupant of this castle in the early 13th century. Built on a hill top, this castle has changed hands and has been occupied by many notable personalities of Waldauer. It was during the 18th century that the keep and its adjacent buildings were converted into a local church. In 1912, the town received a new church and this castle church has not been in use since. Today privately owned, this castle can be visited with prior appointment on a specific day.
