The Elgin Military Museum was established in the year 1982 with the main aim of preserving the local historical military service record. From cannonballs belonging to the year 1812 to the pastures converted, the caps of Afghanistan to the Balkans skies, the depths of Cold War to the Lake Erie’s battles, the Museum connects all the dots together through the lives of those brave hearts that served and died for their country in faraway places. The main attractions here include the Hall of Honour, The Vimy Poppy, Jumbo the Elephant, Model Ships and much more.
