Paklenica National Park , Zadar Reviews

  • Fantastic place to get some hiking done. The trail is very much challenging. The beginning is very stony. Proper shoes should definitely be worn. Do not go with flip flops. Check the weather in case you need rain gear. I highly recommend to do the main trail. Anything else does not make sense for a day trip. Happy trail hiking!

  • Had a short time for a visit, but loved it and definitely coming back as soon as I can. Visitor center has indoor climbing wall for kids, and my son absolutely loved it. Next time I am taking at least two days for a more satisfying walk around.

  • A really nice park with breathtaking views and amazing hiking trails. Also one can find goats which have gotten used to living in the wild. Story goes that those goats escaped from peasants and after and managed to find a satisfying life in the mountain. Amazing!!

  • One of the most underrated places I went in Croatia. From the road the park just looks like a slash straight through the mountains. Lo and behold there are some of the best hiking and backpacking trails in the country, rivers, caves and rock climbing for most skill levels. If you've got the time while driving down the coast, make the detour.

  • Beautiful landscape, well maintained and with excellent facilities for visitors. There is an abundance of wildlife which clearly are not too afraid of visitors. Trails are also well signposted and mapped in various places. It is worth checking opening times for attractions (caves etc) as, if they are closed you won't get in at all. It's a long hike up to some of them, so it could be a long walk to nothing (although the view will still be worth it!)
