Arkdes - Review
Sharing premises with Moderna Museet but not nearly as prestigious an institution this is nevertheless an interesting enough museum. The building itself combines both ancient and contemporary architecture and was designed by Rafael Moneo. Most of the centers appeal focuses on its temporary and special exhibitions or on its frequent workshops, which are organised for all ages. The main permanent exhibitions focus on Swedish architecture for the last 1000 years and the influences that led it to evolve. Over 2.5 million items are in the collection. Check the attraction website for upcoming and current exhibitions and events.

Arkdes, Stockholm Reviews
Rotating architecture exhibit and permanent exhibit on the history of Swedish architecture. Well-laid our spaces and very knowledgeable staff. Library has a good selection of books.
For me it was a relevant and interesting exhibition. The admisson was free. Just the island is worth a visit. Check the actual exhibitions if it is something to you.
Extensive info about Swedish architecture, a great place for someone interested in it. A few hours needed to check out the whole exhibiotion. Not best for kids though, they may be a little bored.
Newly renovated space next to the Modern Musseet. I was lucky enough to be there for thier opening show. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice museum and very good restaurant at lunch time
