This 18th century botanical garden is close to Stockholm University and was founded by the Bergius Brothers. Now it is owned by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, managed as a center of recreation, education and research. There are two main areas - the open garden and the conservatories. 

• Open garden: Contains the herb garden, the Italian terrace, the Japanese pond, vegetable garden, the orchard and the rhododendron area.
• The Edvard Anderson Conservatory: Various botanical landscapes brought to life.
• Victoria House: A historic building dedicated specifically to the giant water lily knowns as Victoria.

While the Edvard Anderson Conservatory and the Victoria house have restricted opening times, the outdoor areas of the garden are always open. You can even picnic on the grass in the dedicated areas.

• Check out the museum shop, the Edvard Anderson Conservatory Cafe, and the Old Orangery Restaurant & Cafe.

• May - September: 11am-5pm
• Thursdays in June, July and August: 11am-8pm
• closed on Midsummer Eve & Day, and from October - April.
