We went to see Rag and Bone Man here. A great venue, acoustics were excellent, really added to the music. Quite the historic place as well, renovated in 1990. We had a bit of difficulty finding our seats in lodge 2, eventually had to ask one of the very helpful team at the venue. Both interactions with the team were great, from the lassie at the entrance on security to the chap that showed us to our seats. I would like, perhaps to see a bigger venue sign at the bottom of the hill to really highlight where thee main entrance is. The brown finger sign, only really gives direction, where after to go is tricky. Overall a fantastic location to see music, looking very much forward to going back!
Went to the restaurant before a concert and we had a pre-ordered dinner. The service was the worst I have ever seen and experienced in my entire life. The restaurant wasn't even busy. They forgot about us 4 times! How is that even possible? The food was lovely but the service kind of ruined the whole experience. My husband complained after paying and the lady blamed someone else. Not cool dude. I usually am not a complainer and my husband is the most relaxed human I have ever met but we got frustrated this time. The bosses here need to go over some basics with the staff :) The chef and the food gets 5* but the service 1*.
This place is fantastic. The thing that decides how fantastic, is up to the performing artists. I've been experiencing the Australian Pink Floyd, who were excellent, with their "The wall". Complete with lasers, and the original movie in the background. And several Swedish performers. The acoustics is very good. They have a fine cuisine as well, which enhance the experience. With professional service staff, to complement your needs. As a plus, you'll find the Abba museum and the amusement park Gröna Lund in five minutes walk from there. Among other places in the vicinity, as a guide Michelin restaurant, several museums and other fine dining places.
Good views of the stage from all seats. Not the quickest venue to process queues of people getting in and out.
Awesome place for a concert with a relatively small stage and limited number of seats which gives you a closeness and intimacy to the artists that is somewhat unique. Dont miss out on having a beer, wine or drink in the bar before the show.
