There are three attractions here - the aquarium, the Butterfly house and the cafe. The stars of the aquarium are the Blacktip Reef Shark and the Sandbar Shark that live in a limestone based coral reef environment. Fascinating though this might be the lush and humid tropical butterfly house complete with waterfalls is the delight of this attraction, with several thousand specimens representing over 700 species fluttering about. The locals find this place far more interesting than tourists as butterflies are exotic to this climate.

  • This place has the potential to be a beautiful oasis as well as educational but it's rather sad and tacky. One thing that really ruins it are all the plastic animals. Also, please keep your children under control and stop them from literally squashing the butterflies!

  • There aren't that many butterflies, either they don't have many species or they're hiding. The temperature and humidity are insane, very hard to breathe and camera lenses fog instantly. Make sure your camera has some weather proofing or moist will get inside.

  • Oh... this is fantastic place to go and enjoy a day, especially with children any time of the year. It’s like oasis of summer with so many gorgeous butterflies and even sharks. They change butterflies every couple weeks, it’s a great opportunity to see new butterflies basically every month. There is a cafe at the place, so you can grab a lunch, washrooms and souvenir store. Around there is a huge park in case you want to get some sunshine. My child greatly enjoys this place and we are often visitors.

  • Be sure to look up when the butterfly season is before visiting. Just after they all have changed from caterpillars the place is packed with beautiful and huge butterflies! Before that it's still a beautiful rainforest garden with big aquariums and a lot to see!

  • Nice place to spend a relaxed day at. The exhibit of butterflies was very well maintained (it is a section with high humidity, where you just walk among the butterflies as they go about their business!). The shark exhibit too was very good. They feed the sharks at 1:30pm, so make sure you plan your visit accordingly!
