About Hotorgshallen, Stockholm
For some people, gastronomic tourism is the best kind of tourism. This food court has been around since the 17th century. Turkish hamburgers, sausages from every European country, Meat and steak cooked in every imaginable style, delicious home remedy bread and confectionaries, a broad selection of wine - it’s all here. There is probably no other place to showcase the harmonious melding of Swedish and international cultures in the city. Technically only the food court is closed on Sundays, because it is replaced by a flea market on that day. Also, if you come during the day time during the weekdays, you'll be able to pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables. Its international character is something that you should look forward to.

Hotorgshallen, Stockholm Reviews - Write a Review
UPDATE: Still like this place but it's CRAZY crowded lunchtime! / Fun place just to look around and check all the mouth watering specialities from different corners of the world! Lots of eateries of all kinds; most of the fun is downstairs. Perhaps the best fast food in town - and best value for money - are the Turkish burgers, especially the vegetarian variety! During lunch peak hours the whole building is extremely crowded.
Lovely place with variety of shops / eateries for high quality food items. Also good to catch a quick bite. Nice place to buy high quality fish / meat / tea / cheese with multiple options. I would recommend it a must visit place when around that area.
A unique place in Stockholm which is situated right at the centre of the tourist area. There are many shops that sells raw and cooked food. There are quite a variety of Swedish, Asian and Europe food; and also desserts. The only thing is the food market closes quite early at 6pm. Will be good if it opens to at least 8-9pm.
This place is near the hotel that I stayed at (radisson blu viking), i'm here for breakfast for most of the days. Groceries here are really fresh, tons of meat, cheeses and even dried goods. They have some small eatery here too, try the fisksoppa it is very hearty and nicely seasoned. Overall, great market.
A must visit when in Stockholm. Enjoy the smell and sound of food sizzling, crowdy yet cozy marketplace. Underground which enhances the atmosphere
