Nationalmuseum - Review
Founded in 1792, greatly benefited by King Gustav III and Carl Gustaf Tessin, the museum is essentially an embarrassment of riches when it comes to Nordic, Scandinavian and Swedish art. Porcelain, drawings, sculptures, textiles, glassworks, metalworks, precious metals, paintings, modern art, and a plethora of drawings make up the bulk of the permanent collection. Highlights include works by Rembrandt, Ruben, Goya, Renoir, Carl Larsson, and Ernst Josephson. Representing masterpieces of art and design, this museum is an institution when it comes to showcasing progeny.

Nationalmuseum, Stockholm Reviews
It's a good thing I went to their website to know it was closed until October like some people who complain for not doing research on opening and closing times.
would be nice if they could add to the google listing that the place is closed until October. no idea how long it's been closed though but I just walked a mile to get here only to find that it's been closed for a while now
Opens in October after five years of renovations. A beautiful and modern art gallery/museum. Family friendly. Top location in Stockholm.
The National Gallery of Sweden has a great collection of arts and masterpieces; certainly a place to visit.
Please disregard the reviews from the last 5 years under renovation until 13 October 2018 ,I tried to add this to Google but they didn't put it was closed temporarily. Also when you click on the map location, the street view showing a guard isn’t Nationalmuseum but the stairs at The Royal Palace which is across the water.
