Not many public gardens are famous for biodynamic agriculture, a form of organic farming popularised by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. Find out what it is about over here where fruits, vegetables and flowers are cultivated. It’s a charming collection of greenhouses, rose beds, a vineyard, an orchard and vegetable fields. That’s not all. Remember to check out the terrific greenhouse cafe (which uses it’s produce), the artisanal bakery (it smells really good), the plant shop (tools and seeds to set up your own garden), and the farm shop. You can picnic on the grass. Check the website for events, or activities for children. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Stockholm Itinerary 2 Days.

  • Tram 7 stop Stockholm Bellmansro.
  • Tram 7; Bus 67, Flygbussarna stop Stockholm Nordiska museet/Vasa.
  • Drive to here, but it’s not recommended.

  • Oasis close to bustling city centre of Stockholm. Easily reached by tram and short walk or by car or bike. Here you find flowers, herbs, gardening tips, deli shop and amazingly popular bistro. Queue can start from outside of greenhouse where bistro is located but don’t give up. They serve pretty fast and there is always seats available if you want to sit outside. Just walk behind the next hedge and there is more tables.

  • A crowded place with expensive food. The coffee tasted like the same coffee as in every staff break room. The very simple menu reflects well on the simple quality food. However the food is not the main attraction. They also serve pizza baked outdoors in a stone oven and the gardens alone are a good enough reason to visit.

  • Always a pleasure to visit Rosendals. Expensive, but worth it as the food is always super yummy. My recent trip included the best chocolate cake (and cream) I've ever eaten in my life. It was mind blowing. Always huge queues for both food and toilets, but that's what you get when everyone realises how good it is there :)

  • A real oasis of calm and tranquility in bustling Stockholm, hard to believe it's just minutes from the amusement park. Lovely green areas to relax and walk, nice cafe serving organic foods and drink, garden shop and various activities going on (Yoga when we were there).

  • This is a great place to bring family and friends for walk. Wild area. Green land. I enjoyed the place, recommend to people. There is a river beside this park, great view and feel. There are people, around the park.
