About Rosendals Tradgard, Stockholm

Not many public gardens are famous for biodynamic agriculture, a form of organic farming popularised by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. Find out what it is about over here where fruits, vegetables and flowers are cultivated. It’s a charming collection of greenhouses, rose beds, a vineyard, an orchard and vegetable fields. That’s not all. Remember to check out the terrific greenhouse cafe (which uses it’s produce), the artisanal bakery (it smells really good), the plant shop (tools and seeds to set up your own garden), and the farm shop. You can picnic on the grass. Check the website for events, or activities for children.

  • One of my favourite places in Stockholm. No matter the time of year, the atmosphere here is always welcoming and relaxing. Wonderful cafe with an abundance of home made cakes and sandwiches to choose from in addition to the meny of the day insures you never have to leave hungry. A stop at the plant or food shop where you can buy some of that bread, vegetables and other organic products makes it possible to bring some of this good feeling home.

  • One of the most authentic, elegant and beautiful gardens in Stockholm. i love the apple trees yard that they have along the different beautiful ornamental plants. Their menu is diverse and rich of tasty sweets, and their coffee is good as well. The place is family appropriate and accessible. And the staff is nice. It's on top of a hill, so it might need physical effort by elders and/or sick people or a sort of transportation. The cafe closes early but the garden is available even after the closing time.

  • Awesome place, delicious sandwiches. Can be very very crowded when the weather is nice. But there's a lot of outdoor seating, so it works. Just wait in line a bit.

  • Enjoyed this place a lot. Delicious food in a beautiful and authentic surrounding. This all for a fair price. As others have mentioned, expect some crowds, but the queue moves fast.

  • Unique café and they grow themselves all of the foods the sell. Good tea choices, sandwiches and cakes. They also serves some other meal menu.
