Clyde's Cider Mill (seasonal) Opens Sept. 1st Reviews & Ratings
My wife and I came here to try out some cider and we were not disappointed! The tastings they offered were delicious and we left with a couple bottles to enjoy at home. The grounds are also fun to walk around, including a little market with jams, spreads, and other snacks. It's not always open so plan to check it out when you can!
The apple cider and doughnuts we bought were yummy. They have tons of apple products to choose from. You can visit the mill to see how cider is made, but they weren't doing tours when we arrived. It would have been a nice idea to label or write a little something about the machinery for people to read when the tours aren't being done.
It's a staple of the southeast region of CT. Parking is tough so be patient and drive slow as lots of folks park on the road. Come here for apple wines, hard cider, cider donuts, and local treats and crafts... Not to mention watching the process for the old fashioned (but very effective) steam pressed cider mill!
Fantastic place to pick up local food or introduce kids to farming. Quality is excellent and fresh. The cider doughnuts are legendary as are the pies.
Awesome place. We come to visit almost every year. Cider doughnuts and their coder slushes are our faves. There are a couple items we buy from vendors while we're visiting.... Soupy Jerky (YUMMMM!!) and Garlic Ghost Sea Salt.
