This one is different from the other Srasbourg museums. It’s sleeker, more modern, and more relatable. It’s 18000 items are displayed in a massive building – one of the largest of it’s kind in France. The artists most prominently displayed are GustaveDoré (369 works), Jean Arp (53 works), Victor Brauner (37 works) and César Domela (10 works) as well as number of contemporary German painters. Additionally, there are several thousand artistic photographs, including the works of numerous regional photographers. Some have said that while the Musee d’Orsay may have a better collection, at least here you can see the art un-obscured by crowd.

Fantastic! Museum has made modern and contemporary art very accessible and encourages the visitor to engage intellectually with the work. It's a great building too. And what is really great is the staff are relaxed. Take photos if you want, they won't bother you. Recommended highly of you come to Strasbourg.
Smaller museum packed with contemporary and modern art. Easily navigable in a few hours. We were surprised at the number of well known artists on display including Rodin and Picasso. Worth your time and money (entrance was under $10 euro).
We visited the museum on a Sunday morning before leaving Strasbourg. By luck we got a day with free entrance. Good permanent collection, interesting temporary exhibition, interactive zones for children. Good to visit if you like contemporary art. If you are there on free admission Sunday, I would recommend to be there already at 10
This large museum is well worth the attractive riverside walk from the historic centre. The thematically displayed art collection contains a greater variety than one might expect, with fine art nouveau and impressionist works as well as more modern art. Very spacious, with good views, an excellent shop and a café-restaurant.
Nice mix of classic, modern and experimental art. Would recommend for a several hour visit.
