  • Top landlord and staff food great as usual booked again for next sun dinner

  • Very dated rooms, pretty pricey for what you get. Clean, just not very pleasant to be in at all. Bar area ok, uninspiring selection of bog standard drinks. Carvery and breakfast both excellent, which saves the day for this otherwise uninviting venue.

  • We also didn't receive the legendary "warm welcome". Moody service on the bar. The Italian red wine was undrinkable. Most of the the wine was cash n carry budget wines marked up to decent pub prices. Poor selection of lagers on tap, calling and cobra. Rib-eye was terrible, pie was good and pork was ok. That rib-eye really shouldn't be served. There's no way that rib-eye was from a decent butchers. You just can't serve that.

  • Extremely warm and welcoming, great atmosphere with excellent, quality food. The carvary is very popular and a menu of set meals is available as well, with ample seating for large groups and many customers.

  • Always lovely staff very nice enjoy are meal every time we go been going for some years. The owners and staff are always please to see us .It's nice to go over when you have been busy in the garden on a Sunday .Thank you .
