Sinagoga Reviews & Ratings

  • The synagogue is recently restored, with amazing art nouveau architecture. It would have been nice to have a guide or at least some posters to learn its history, as the synagogue is empty now and from what I understood it is mostly used as a museum or as a stage for cultural events. The small remaining Jewish community of Subotica prays in another much smaller synagogue.

  • Stunning remodel inside & out. Too bad it is not used for services. It is a museum jointly operated by city of Subotica & Hungary cultural agency. They host concerts here- that would be a truly memorable experience!! Definitely visit & enjoy. The amount of work that went into this project is absolutely amazing.

  • Lovely looking building, Hungarian seccesion style. Nowadays used as tourist attraction and events venue, not as a temple. Guided tours available.

  • Extraordinary building. Beauty and harmony. Simple needs to be visited while in Subotica. Unfortunately, the security person there represents everything in contrary. Rude, unprofessional, without any manners and politnes, playing a local sheriff and attacking us just because we accidently went in a part of the building that is restricted but in his head. There was no signs, chains except one board with a sign: wet floor that he obviously can't read. Please, put clear signs what is allowed and not!!!

  • you have to pay 250 dinars if you want to see inside.Interior design is impressive, so is the building itself.
