  • A wonderfully maintained nature area in the heart of Stafford, Virginia. There is a small parking area that has designated handicap spots and which leads to hiking trails and the walkway to the water. Trails are reasonably accessible and offer different views of the nature area. The walkway takes you to the water's edge and provides a panoramic view of the tidal area. Catch glimpses of migratory birds, native flora and fauna, as well as different animals that frequent the area. There is a canoe and kayak launch point at the end of the walkway, but bear in mind the tidal changes that can make navigating the waterway challenging at low tide (you can get stuck at low tide and as the tide is coming in the current can be strong). The walkway is handicap accessible. There are no restroom facilities. Be sure to check the weather as the area is subject to flooding during periods of heavy rain.

  • The scenic views and beautiful trails make this a great hiking spot for a fun afternoon

  • Gorgeous scenery. Relaxing place to go boating or take the kayak out for the day. There is a kayak launch at the end of the dock which makes it easy to get the kayak in and out of the water.

  • Awesome hiking here. Limited bathroom opps. No fishing from the boat launch & didn't see anywhere to fish from the bank. Nice kayaking experience, entirely too crowded, tho

  • Great place to fish. Good ways from parking lot to the launch ramp. Need a kayak cart.
