Lake Perris State Recreation Area, Perris Reviews
I've been here many times with family and friends. It's great! Make sure you bring a shade tent because if you plan to sit next to the water there is absolutely no shade. Camping is fun here! Lots are fairly large and they have a lot of bathrooms that are well kept. Guy goes around selling firewood and ice so that is super helpful! Riding the jetskis is amazing and the water is always glassy! It's a great spot to relax and be outdoors.
This is a nice little place to either spend the day on the lake or just take the kids to swim and play. They have a museum for kids, too, if you do not want to be out in the sun, which I would recommend for 4 to 8 year olds. You can rent boats, if you do not own one or can launch your own. The launching ramp is not too steep, so unloading your boat is not too hard. I did not give it 5 stars because of the restrooms. They are pretty disgusting, we had to leave the park just so my 3 and 5 year old could use a clean restroom, other than that, it is a good place to go. If you like camping, you can also stay at the campsite. The campsite restrooms are clean and it is a good first time experience for younger kids.
A romantic getaway or a relaxing night alone. Lots of spot to camp. Near water front and several family areas. Great for hikes. Is a good distance from town or stores so make sure you stock up. Easy 10-20 minutes there and back. However the views are excellent!
Not exactly the rugged experience I associate with camping but it was a blast nonetheless. Your own water faucet and electricity box with outlets and your own parking area come along with your reservation which is a pleasant convenience. The bathrooms on site were clean and well taken care of as well. Will definitely be coming back.
You can go biking, kayaking, boating, camp, hike, grill, swim, etc. It's a fairly large park. A huge portion of the park is devoted to people who want to swim or boat. The park alone, however, is one huge biking route! You can expect to make a round trip of biking anywhere between 30mins to an hour. Truly awesome for biking and boating. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
