Planet Chill, Surfers Paradise Reviews
The kids LOVE this place! We have been many times. Beds and rooms in general are not comfy but we continue to visit this place because the kids have the best holidays here. And if the kids are happy then we are happy. Many different activities and games for the kids, some free others you pay average $10 per child. Easy to distract the kids from the extras that cost if you need to. The things our kids love the most here are Kids Club and the water park plus all the new friends they make each time. The food has improved a lot from when we first started to come and prices are reasonable. We highly recommend this resort if you have kids under 12.
Great for kids, not so great if you like your comforts and a good nights sleep. The rooms are very out dated and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Very noisy if your on the highway side and on the Southern side because of the construction work happening next door. Some of the staff are friendly but the rest are old fossils drawing a wage. Seems cheap at first but they get you with the likes of parking, expensive drinks, etc. There is no doubt about it, if you stay here be prepared to keep putting your hand in your back pocket. Turtle beach resort was better and half the price but there splash zone wasn't as good.
The best holiday spot in the world for young families. We love it here, been numerous times and this time with my daughter's (6) best friend and his family. The kids had a ball, the adults were well entertained, the facilities for the kids are awesome - and the extended childcare, which the kids don't want to leave because they're having so much fun, is a holiday favorite. Great value accommodation and nearly everything included in respect to entertainment - or if want iceskating and laser tag for the kids available on site.
Rooms are satisfactory. I didn't mind as you don't spend much time in them. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Advise trying to find a deal online before booking. Our kids ate for free which saved us hundreds over our 5 night stay. Pools and waterslides were a lot of fun for the kids, albeit a bit packed when we were there
This place is really for families only. Seems to be a lot of noisy kids allowed to just run a muck while their parents get sloshed in the bar. From the moment you enter the foyer to all through the night, there is constant noise. The foyer has a kids play gym, so kids just roam free. The water pipes clunk through the night. There is a damp musty smell in the very outdated rooms. The entire resort just looks dirty. The bed was comfortable, so 1 star for that. So for $249 per night plus the surprise of being told there's an extra $15 for parking, it is a rip off.
