Great views, one phone charger was damaged apart from that it was a great service
Great way to see the bay. The sights we're definitely worth the price. You get to feel like a local commuter. We did ours during sunset. Came back to Sydney in the dark.
Manly Ferry gave me nice memories. The trip is not too long and the spots around are spectacular! I set outside the ferry so I could enjoy the view!
I foolishly bought the return ticket for AUD 17.40 from Circular Quay to Manly which costs twice as much as the single ticket at AUD 8.70 at the weekend. I would have expected the return ticket to cost maybe 80% of the sum of two single tickets (ie AUD 14). The journey on the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is pleasant. When we walked around Manly and were ready to return by ferry from Manly Wharf to Circular Quay we followed the throng of daytrippers to board a ferry back. Our tickets were not valid for this government run ferry which was probably cheaper. The Manly Fast Ferry wasn't departing for another 30 minutes. We tried to get the return portion refunded at the Manly Fast Ferry kiosk but the staff refused. So needed to wait 30 minutes to use the Manly Fast Ferry. Not very fast. In hindsight it would have been better to have simply bought a one way ticket at Circular Quay and remained flexible on which ferry we used to return as there was no discount buying the return ticket.
These are not part of the Opal system, but that's not clear when they use the Transport NSW ports. We tapped on, then waited 45 minutes, only to be told that they don't take Opal. If they're going to run a private service, it doesn't need to be advertised as public transit on Google.
