Sydney Aquarium - Review

Sydney Aquarium is a vibrant and extremely popular tourist destination of Sydney. It is situated in the northern frontier of the Pyrmont Bridge. It features continental variations of marine wildlife and innumerable species of fishes and marine vegetation of Australia. It is designed to provide the best display and exhibition of the sea life using clear tunnels made of modified glass.

The major attractions of wildlife are the sharks and a functional replica of the world famous Great Barrier Coral Reef of Australian subcontinent. It primarily is of national distinction because it exhibits the habitation and lifestyle of the platypus of the Southern River Region, and the marine crocodiles and exclusive Barramundis of the Northern aquatic. Most of the fish here are preserved and displayed in the large exhibition hall of the Aquarium, the modern aquariums and floating glass-tunnel oceanariums. There are a few interactive zones as well. Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Reviews

  • Fantastic place, there was a big line up to get in but thankfully they do slow entry as when you finally make it inside it is not overly crowded. I was able to walk around at my own pace and not feel rushed to keep moving. See life is great, big Sharks, Stingrays, fish of all sorts. Penguins were amazing to see, worth the additional wait for the little boat ride to see them. Great place and in the heart of the city.

  • Fantastic sensory Adventure. Photos were absolutely amazing. We would have liked to stay longer but other appointments awaited.we were there for a good 2 hours and there was more we had not seen. There was a magical ride through the penguin enclosure wasn't on the cards for us with the queues so long it would have given a rex a run for it's money. The underground tube was Spectacular and it will be Remembered for years to come. Lockers would have made the day a lot easier. But worth every minute.

  • Fantastic variety of sea life. Some beautiful species that are unusual and not seen anywhere else. Great for children to play and uncover dinosaur bones and touch sea life. So great to be in the glass tunnels and watch sharks glide majestically by. Easy ramps to walk. Shop and restaurant. A must see at Darling Harbour Sydney

  • Beautiful aquarium~ When you enter you get to do some different poses in front of a green screen for photos to buy when you finish. They were very cute and are a fun little add to take back home. I was expecting the place to be quite small as that's how it seemed from the outside. But it took a good 3-4 hours to walk throughout the whole place. I also loved that there were little signs about the different species within each aquarium. Would definitely recommend going~

  • Is definitely somebody exhibits here but we went on the weekend and it was extremely busy so you are just walking behind people all the time and there's the usual lack of consideration. My two favourite parts were the underwater viewing experience where you can look up through the glass canopy to the Sharks , Stingrays and other sea life swimming above and beside you. There are plenty of activities and sights to see for kids, I would probably also take the combined entry to go to the Australian wildlife park which is next door as they have plenty of kangaroos and a huge crocodile. This is definitely one of the best ways to get close to these animals because they have professional staff around unlike Morisset for the kangaroos where people have been attacked recently. Another benefit is that you can see such a variety of them in a very short space of time. Most of the animals for which Australia is famous are located at the two venues which is right in the middle of the city.
