Sydney Fish Market - Review
Among the commercial tourist locations of Sydney, the Sydney Fish Market is a widely renowned market venture of Sydney. The market ranks as the third biggest market of fish in the world. Being favourably located at the seaside, the market includes a large dock for fishing and commodity transport. Besides it, this market also houses retail stores of fresh seafood, and fish eateries, along with a vegetable and fruits market, restaurants of sushi, bakeries and beverages, and also stores of flowers and gifts. The location of the Fish Market is in close proximity to both the business market of Sydney and to the sea.
Moreover, the market has also incorporated learning sections for preparing seafood, along with a large and facilitated lounge for visitors and tourists.

Sydney Fish Market, Sydney Reviews
Good seafood shopping and take-away options. Great if you want a seafood platter to enjoy at home. But the place is dirty, hideous and very outdated. Should be demolished and rebuilt. Cooked seafood options are very basic, expensive and restaurants are in a terrible state. Car park and shops are located at the front on prime waterfront land. Crowded and noisy. I wouldn't bother visiting if I was a tourist. There are better places to see in Sydney.
The Sydney Fish Markets are awesome... they are crazy busy, you have to fight to get a seat and sometimes can be overwhelming, but are a must do in Sydney! My advice is avoiding all the crazy deep fried stuff - you can get that anywhere. Also, don’t order one of those deep fried platters... too much oil. Go the grilled and fresh food... that is when you really do enjoy the freshness! Grab some wine and enjoy a sunny Sydney day!
Great spot to get fresh and tasty sea produce either freshly caught or cooked to your specifications. Plenty of shops offering different alterations of seafood platters of varying price ranges and sizes depending on your budget and stomach capacity. It's quite a touristy spot so be prepared to fork out some touristy prices for your fish.
A place where u can buy supposedly fresh sea food and cook on site. Lots of sea food shops here and lots of restaurants as well. However, other than great fresh oysters, the rest are just normal. Sea food are mostly cooked the same way by all the restaurants here, they are either baked with cheese, bbq, deep fried. Some restaurants do provide Chinese style of preparing. I would only recommend oysters here and pair it with nice wine, which can be bought there. But then again, great oysters can radially be found in Sydney at similar price... Only recommenced if you want to experience what a fish market is and dine by the pier.
Having seen that the fish market is highly rated amongst things to do in Sydney I was very excited. Getting there it seemed large, however most of the building is for trade and not open to the public. There is a small section for the public, selling seafood cooked and raw. You can walk around the whole thing in around 10 minutes. Was it worth leaving the car and getting an uber to experience. Absolutely not. If you are from overseas I suggest you go to your local big seaside town for a real fish market experience. It will more than likely be larger, have more species and be a whole lot cheaper and more accessible.
