Wildlife Sydney Zoo, Sydney Reviews
Busy location, but nice collection of Australian animals. Informative presentations and presenters. The koala exhibition is awesome and is well worth the few minutes you get to question the keepers and get up close with the koalas. There's a small cafe near the koala exhibition with drinks and some baked goods (muffins and banana bread types of snacks), otherwise your options are the crappy looking cafe at the Sea Life Centre or any of eateries on Darling Harbour.
This has a great amount of wildlife in such a small space, and the mammals were all surprisingly active. It is one of the better experiences I have had at a zoo. My main complaint is that the photos taken of us at the entrance to the zoo were printed out. That is a waste of resources. The photos could easily be displayed on a screen, and in fact were also displayed on a screen for us. I can't imagine all the photos they would have to throw out in a day. Also some of the information, particularly about spiders, was a bit outdated. I'm sure most people wouldn't notice that though. Overall the park is fantastic, and a great day out.
Great experience pretty bad customer service. 100% recommend the Koala breakfast. The tour guide was wonderful and kind to the animals. I purchased photos and was unable to get them because the access code didn't work. The staff at Wildlife Zoo wouldn't help me very much since "they hired outside people to do it." I was annoyed because I already paid for a photo included in the breakfast and then was cheated out of more money for other photos, which I still am unable to access over a week later after reaching out to both companies several times....
A great little zoo where you can get up close and personal with most of the animals you associate with Australia - wombats, Tasmanian devils, platypus, crocs, kangaroos and of course the koalas! There are also snakes, lizards and loads of other things to see. It's not a massive zoo (you could go round in an hour, but 1.5-2 hours is a better pace), but it's right in the heart of the city and if you're limited on time then it's perfect. Do the koala experience, it's an extra cost, but definitely worth it.
We loved our visit to Sydney Zoo! We meet cute Koalas and the guide was nice and friendly! Some attractions where closed on the day and it was hot and crowded but overall it was a good experience for a tourist attraction. Hot tip: don't get confused, we learned that there are two Sydney Zoos!
