The Chiesa di San Martino is probably one of the hardest to date due to its contrasting architectural elements that indicate various periods. The Apse and Column indicate that the church can be as old as the 6th century while the elements of rose windows seen at the entrance date back to the 14th or 15th century.  Some of the elements indicate Byzantine influences while others show a likeness to the pagan temples of 5th or 6th century.

However, this does not take away from the architectural marvel that the church is. The entrance of the church made from limestone shows a strongly carved bezel with beautiful floral designs and a monogram of Christ carved right above the door.

The highlight of the church is the fifteenth century polyptych seen at the Altar depicting Our Lady in the centre with baby Jesus, saints Marciano and Lucia to either side and the crucifixion of Jesus placed above the painting of Our Lady.
