Landmark Theatre, Syracuse Reviews - Write a Review
Was processed quickly at the door. We had heard that if you took photos of the tickets they could scan them through your phone you must make sure to only photo one ticket at a time for the scan to work. The theater is ornately decorated. It's showing signs of needing further restoration but has wonderful acoustics as we were seated almost in the last row (nn) far left and had an excellent view of the stage and could hear everything and see everything. Toilets were located in the lobby but also downstairs under the theater. Parking was located about a block South and was $10.
It's an old, awesome, run down, glorious theater! I have been there tons of times in my life! I would change everything and update everything! But it would not be the landmark if it didn't stay exactly the way it is today. I love the landmark!
Great acoustics and decor. The seating, however not the most comfortable. I'm not a tall guy and my knees were against the seat in front of me the whole show. O understand it's a historical site and can't just be renovated, really my only complaint. concessions are a bit pricy but better than a movie theater.
A beautiful historical venue in the heart of downtown Syracuse. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and comfortable seating. Sund quality was great and the light program was too notch. Looking forward to seeing many more shows here in the future.
The Landmark is a 1920's style grand theater that has been partially restored. Inside it still has a great deal of charm about it. The backstage area was redone to allow larger productions to be shown like Wicked and was where the new Broadway turing company of the Lion King chose to prepare all its sets and rehearsals at. Unfortunately, the seating in the theater is still designed for people of the 1920's too. Seats are narrow and rows are crowed. If you are over 5 ft six don't expect much room for your knees and feet. If can, leave your coat in your car too as there's no room for it and you in your seat.
