About Picnic Grove, Tagaytay

Picnic Grove offers a variety of recreations for everybody, especially the family, a lush 500 meters long walking area, a paintball war jungle, a volcano and lake view deck, a horseback riding area and some nice souvenir shops. The Picnic Grove is probably the most visited spot in Tagaytay, or maybe neck and neck with the other popular destination nearby, the Palace in the Sky which is now known as People’s Park. Other activities involve a new Zipline that soars 300 feet above ground for the daredevils, the eco trail for walking enthusiasts and of course the picnic spots for those who just want to hang out and enjoy Tagaytay’s view and weather. From the public view deck here you have a gorgeous view of Lake Taal to the south, Laguna de Bay to the east and almost as far as Manila to the north. Jeepneys go up there regularly from the Tagaytay Rotonda (Silang Crossing), stopping on the way at the turn-off down to Talisay. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Tagaytay Itinerary 2 Days.

Picnic Grove, Tagaytay Reviews

  • This place is perfect and all. Except they somehow forgot to place comfort rooms on the area. So far we got lucky bumping into a restaurant with comfort rooms (there are only 3 rooms, 1 for each gender and 1 general bathroom) that the staff are willing to share with tourists. Which is good, but it makes the restaurant crowded with people who's not going to eat there. Constantly going in and out of the comfort room. And if you're a customer of that restaurant. Sorry, you gotta fall in line before you can wash your hand/s and use the CR. Could've been better if the CRs are placed on spots where there are usually a lot of people.

  • It is quite a large place, very steep and undulated. Very motivated towards soliciting for boat and taal volcano visits. But you can enjoy the time here and scenery is quite good. Choices are there for you to decide. Just remember with the Philippines not to be coerced by every vendor trying to survive and make a living.

  • Has lots of outdoor/ family picnic focused facilities. Zipline looks fun. But I can't say if I'll go back again. One thing I did appreciate was the very clean, fresh smelling, air conditioned, pay-per-use comfort rooms beside the main building (where you make final payments).

  • I lost my bag here and one of their maintenance staff got my bag on the park. So I went to their office and they asked me to say the things inside the bag and gladly, I got it! People here are nice and the surroundings are clean! This place is great. Good job office! 😘👍

  • Picnic Groove. Entrance 50 per head. May horse riding 350 for 1hour. Pede daw magpalit palitan atleast 4 persons. May tiangge din. Mas mura sya kesa sa Residence Inn. Walang rent yung mga table. Mas maganda tumambay kasi hindi mainit. Madaming puno sa table na pagkakainan nyo. Meron ding zipline 300 or 350 yata yun per head. Nakalimutan ko yung twag sa isa. Good for 6-7 persons 2000. Mas okay sya sakin kesa sa Residence Inn. Mas feeling baguio sya. Actually pagtapos ng mga pictures na yan. Natulog ako sa sasakyan. Haha. Mahangin kasi.
