Gaomei Wetland, Taipei Reviews
Very picturesque place. Perfect place for long walks while waiting for the sunset. Shallow water over dark sand gives the water surface a mirror-like quality. To make the best of it, do bring a good camera and a tripod along. Waterproof footwear or slippers are also recommended. Only downside to the place is too many tourists, so perhaps visiting the place off season is best.
This is a wildlife sanctuary with a play area for everyone. The view is beautiful. You can park close by for $50NT. Make sure you check their website for the opening time as it may vary due to different tide schedule. Once you walk to the end of the path, you can take off your shoes and play in the water. When we went, it was only ankle deep. Kids go there with their sand toys.
Good atmosphere, good view. You need to walk about 2km along the wooden platform to get to the beach. There's alot of different crabs to be seen, mostly young ones. I would say this is a good place to sit down, enjoy the view and the breeze, but it can be quite crowdy on weekends and holidays.
A place to go to take wonderful photos of the sunset. If you love photography. It's the place to go. Be there before the 630pm sunset to prepare for the shots you'll want to take. Even if just using hp, the pics are gorgeous! #SumsungNote8.
Terrific natural area. I am pleasantly surprised. This is a terrific place for children adults and everyone. The boardwalk is very well-constructed and very easy to walk upon and extends far enough Odin to the Wetland that you see a wide variety of wildlife up close. The boardwalk also protects the wildlife from people which is good for preservation. The surrounding wind turbines are inspirational and the ever-changing light makes for terrific photographic opportunity. The crabs and Fishes certainly put on a great show.
