Gaomei Wetland, Taipei Reviews
Go to the end of wood walkway, take shoes off and feel shallow seawater and fine sands. The horizon, shining sea, vast sky, the sun hanging. Some cloud is better time than clear sky. Wetland seems not the focus. Go once if you have half a day of time. Take some your own sea and sky or sunset photos. I showcase some and my friends favor them.
Very picturesque place. Perfect place for long walks while waiting for the sunset. Shallow water over dark sand gives the water surface a mirror-like quality. To make the best of it, do bring a good camera and a tripod along. Waterproof footwear or slippers are also recommended. Only downside to the place is too many tourists, so perhaps visiting the place off season is best.
Nice place, a lot of people there. Get to the pier early for a good spot. Nice sunsets, windy and can be a bit cold at night.
Finally a quiet and peaceful place in Taichung, where you can put your feet in the sand and water, surrounded by crab and fish. Make sure to go at low tide, check Google for low tide times for Taichung. Park during the weekend for free at the school or during the week in the paid parking at 20 NT an hour with a maximum of 50 NT.
Came by to catch the beautiful sunset. Was pretty crowded but still enjoyed the beauty of the place.
