Liu Shandong Beef Noodles, Taipei Reviews - Write a Review
This is in a small alley. Don’t get lost! See pictures as a guide. It was really tasty and the meat is tender, juicy and of good thickness. The fermented soy beans (Free add-ons) are good too. The only problem is that the food makes you really thirsty after that! Too much salt? MSG?
Tough to find food in the morning but found this one. This gem is hidden in one of the many alleys. Surprisingly good. Noodle was firm with a good bite. ordered the orginal flavored beef and it was great. The extra chilli oil on top brought out the flavour!
This is not the most famous #牛肉麵 (beef noodle soup) place in #Taiwan nor would you usually find it written up in travel guides (I haven't checked). But it has certainly stood the test of time, as it's at least 3-generations approved! My wife's grandpa started going to this place, then he took his son (my father-in-law), then he took his grand-daughter, and now I've tried this very Taiwanese local gem! It's quite inexpensive, and kind of hard to find as it's tucked inside a small alley. There's not much decor to it, don't expect 5-star service, but the food is certainly one of a kind. I would definitely recommend 清燉牛肉麵/少油/with thin noodles.
Yummy fried pork chop noodles and beef noodles. Very small shop in an alley. Be prepared to wait a while during lunch hours.
Good if along the way. If you want your meat to be a little more chewy, I would suggest the qin dun version.. and if you want it to be a little more flaky, then the hong shao version is recommend.. Feel free to add the condiments so as to bring it the full flavor of the soup!
