Tianhou Temple, Taipei Reviews

  • This is a nice small temple where we went while waiting for our table at Watch BBQ. The temple has some beautiful pillars and a beautiful ceiling with red lamps. Its a very local temple if you walk by just pop in and have a quick look. There are much bigger and nicer temples in Taipei.

  • very old and interesting temple to visit. one of the only one that is at Ximen station. rich history as well. ximen station is known for youngster/hipster area, while taipei tianhuo temple is like a old and new contrast.

  • Outside is super chaotic. Inside, rich and peaceful. A great little history in the middle of a modern urban jungle. People take their prayers seriously so respect and discretion while you're taking pics. Beautiful, intricate shrines absolutely worth seeing in this trendy area

  • Peaceful, real, visited by many people. Felt a connection there.

  • Originally a Buddhist Temple turned Taoist Temple with great history.
