Tianhou Temple, Taipei Reviews
I simply love this little temple! The entrance does not look all that impressive, but I decided to just quickly peek inside, and I’m so glad that I did! It opens up to a lovely courtyard. This temple is cozy and serene, and not touristy. I also loved that it was tucked away right in the middle of the busy streets of Ximen right outside. Worth stopping by, if you are in the area.
Kinda hidden, sandwiched in block of buildings, I found this tranquil little temple while strolling around Ximending. It's not really a tourist attraction, but sill a beautiful place for curious people. There is an ATM, too. Just be respectful, if you are a visitor.
Beautiful temple and not as crowded as the other ones we visited. A good place to stop for a bit and just take a deep breath.
It was quite a surprise to be able to find this place in the middle of busy Ximen night life. It's a close walk to Ximen Station, squashed in between shops. You can just enter and pay a visit, may as well have a round of pray. It's a great place with a serene atmosphere even though Ximen is just as crowded as always. If you're lucky enough, there is theatrical performance at night (not sure about the schedule though) that you can watch for free!
Breezy and calming in a weird sort of way, there were birds in the open front room and som benches and it was clean and quiet in the middle of the city.
