Zoo Taiping, Taiping Reviews
We were lucky to get 50% off for father's day offer today. Reached the zoo around 4pm, easily gotten a spot at the parking lot A. It was crowded due to the long holiday weekend. There was a queue at the ticketing counter. Adult cost RM16, kids RM8, seniors RM8. Toilets were smelly and wet, long queue too. A lot of animals were asleep, lion, tiger, leopard, hippo, crocodiles. Saw some giraffes, zebras, flamingos. Orang utans were funny they kept asking for food from visitors. Feeding time were in the morning so we missed that. A good 2hr walking within the area and we believed we covered all the areas. Improvement needed especially on toilets.
Adult Ticket Price is expensive. RM17. and they also charge children above 3 years old. They shouldn't. Since this zoo is owned and operated by the municipal council. Maybe they should charge children above 6 years old. And food price in the kiosk inside is very expensive. RM3 for 500ml mineral water and RM4 for a canned drinks. Finally, there are not many animals and some cages are empty. I understand the food for the animal is expensive but please think a way to reduce the cost. Nice zoo, but the price is sad.
Very affordable. My friends and I took around 2 to 3 hours to enjoy the zoo. Albeit you'll see the cages are not clean and there's empty cafes but the animals are worth it. It's only RM17 and you enjoy the views. There's birds roaming around and you can see it just right in front of you. Suitable for family outings.
Not too bad for the variety of animals in this size of a zoo. Improved a lot since last visit! Much cleaner and less smelly. Still room for improvement.
Amazing night zoo. Skip the tram ride and just walk the paths at your own pace. There were fewer animals at night but managed to see giraffe and hippos up close and feeding at night without the bustle of the day.
