Asakura Choso Museum, Taito Reviews
A really amazing place to visit. The details of the house and studio make it fun to explore. However, there is a strict route you must follow and no photos are allowed except from the rooftop garden. Also in a unique part of the city.
Small, privately owned museum totally worth the visit. You walk through a private home of a Japanese sculptor with his pieces scattered throughout your trajectory. Beautiful garden, wonderful pieces, lovely staff and a great experience all round.
Beautiful! The sculptures, and the garden are very pretty and relaxing. We had a great tour guide who spoke very good English guide us through the museum. Asakura's sculptures of cat is truly amazing. He captured the emotion, and expressions of his feline subjects perfectly.
Fantastic museum, only 500 Yen entry. Volunteer guide who spoke excellent English offered to show us through. Very informative and interesting. Highly recommended.
Very beautiful little museum. You can't wear shoes in there but if you forgot socks they will thoughtfully give you loaners. The sculptures were beautiful as was the building itself
