  • We stayed at HOTEL MYSTAYS Ueno East: Standard Double for 3 weeks. Rooms are the standard Japanese business hotel size; narrow and can be challenging for those traveling with a lot of luggage. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly, multilingual and professional. 5 min walk to the Inaricho subway station or 15 min walk to the major train hub Ueno Station. A word of caution: there doesn't appear to be a ramp at the entrance just stairs. Laundry room is located on the MYSTAYS hotel behind this location. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

  • It was a very nice hotel room. It wasn't a tiny room, the beds we're cozy and the washroom was of good size. Everything was neat and the employees were very nice and though we didn't speak Japanese, it was easy to get a room. The view from the window wasn't spectacular but was expected from being in the middle of a city(Tokyo). Getting there was easy, it's within a five-minute walk from/to Tokyo station making exploring more of the city easy. Checking in was nice and simple. There was a shrine just a short ways away. Ueno Park as well. It was very pretty, the main attraction being a beautiful, expansive pond with lots of Lily pads and wild life. Some cool fish, turtles, ducks, cats, and flowers. Definitely recommended. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good as well, with quite a lot to choose from including: Rice, fish, rolls+jelly, egg bake, miso, yogurt, pasta, coffee, juice, and tea.

  • Friendly staff. Rooms are small for what North Americans are used to and the bathroom ceiling is quite low but they are clean, tidy, simple and nice rooms. Breakfast selection is pretty good selection of local type dishes.

  • Beautiful room, great sound insulation, could not hear traffic from inside. When we went out for sightseeing, the room was cleaned when we got back. Breakfast buffet is delicious, staff is friendly. Would definitely stay again!

  • Simple quiet hotel with "cozy" rooms. Just fine if you'll be out and about, only using the hotel to sleep.
