Ryokan Sawanoya is a traditional Japanese Inn that offers comfortable and cosy rooms at a rather affordable rate. The beds are placed on the floor and are very comfortable and also have a cosy vibe to it. Another advantage is the very convenient location as the supermarkets and subway station is very close by making it easier for you to travel back and forth. There are also two Japanese style baths which are open morning as well as evening. If you are looking or budget hotels that have that traditional Japanese charm, Ryokan Sawanoya would be the ideal option.

Ryokan Sawanoya Reviews & Ratings

  • This little hidden Ryokan is so peaceful and very friendly. It located off an main streets so there's little to no traffic noise. It is small and quaint which adds to the charm of the place. I haven't slept well in months, but the relaxing bath and quite atmosphere here helped me finally get a full night's sleep. I absolutely loved it here and hope to return on my next trip.

  • A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful old area of Tokyo: Nezu. Ryokan Sawanoya is a traditional Japanese Inn run by the Sawanoya family. This place has lots of character, a traditional Japanese bath is available for visitors. Loved the tatami mat to sleep on

  • The family running this Ryokan made me feel so comfortable and treat me so well. Really lovely people and the Ryokan is wonderful with onsens (private single use) available to use. I also fell in love with the area which was quiet and traditional, all whilst having the essential transport and shopping links nearby. I will return to this Ryokan next time I come to Tokyo.
