Tourist orientated market, you can find many food stall, wood craft, flower and also souvenir stall and shop. Definitely interesting to a tourist and good to explore in the early morning. The market located next to a beautiful river/ canal with crystal clear water and fish swimming in the river.
Yes, truly a market place to be visited as it consists of souvenir, food and grocery stores. You can find some ingredients which you won't even find in your own local stores. Some of which has samples for you to taste it. Majority of the souvenir store I went in, offered me tea and kind hospitality. A service which I respect about Japan. Also, near to the end of the market there's a stall selling fish-shaped filled pancakes. Fillings are custard, chocolate and red bean paste. I LOVED IT. Custard & chocolate was delicious and it's so good to eat hot on a cold morning!
The monkey park delivers an up close and personal experience in a unique place. Go early (before 10am) if you can as it gets very busy during the day which lessens the enjoyment
It was a wonderful morning in Takayama wandering along the banks of the Miyagawa River at the local markets. We sampled different foods and interacted with the Locals. We enjoyed a sake tasting at an old sake brewery at the end of the markets.
A quite and peaceful walk down this market, you will discover authentic handicraft, fresh produce from locals, wonderful senior Japanese citizen selling all kinds of home produce. Full of surprises.
