Pirita - Review

Mainly a residential place for the privileged with modern houses, rather less crowded streets and the popular Pirita Beach to its credit, the district of Pirita offers a lot to visitors. Pack a wholesome picnic to take to the beach during summers and soak in the sun as you are treated to a wonderful view of the Tallinn Bay. The nearby cafes and restaurants are perfect to drop by a meal.

Other Highlights include:

  • Pirita Monastery
  • Monument to Michael Park

Pirita, Tallinn Reviews

  • The hotel has a good new feel to it. Staff are very friendly and speak very good English. The rooms are pretty basic but very clean and a good temperature. No tea or coffee making facilities but there is a good well stocked bar that stays open till 11pm. Not the cheapest of places but all in all pretty good

  • Cannot comment on the hotel or restaurant, but I have a season pass for their swimming pool (25 m, 6 lanes). There are also several saunas (Finnish and steam), but no jaccuzis and the shower rooms are a bit small. Unisex locker area with individual dressing stalls and separate shower areas for men and women. The place is clean and on the cheap side (€7 for 2h) and tends to be less crowded compared to other pools, but it's quite dated.

  • Basic, but good price/quality rate. Great simple 25m pool Only the queues for checking in and out can sometimes be huge.

  • It is an old hotel for sports men and it looks like this but if your demands are average you will be gladly suprised for what you get paying low price (in a good way).

  • Instead of "wiev to sea" you find yourself in a construction site where staff speaks broken english and the dressing room for the swimming pool you have to share with teenage boys. Disturbing, if you're a woman.
