Tallinna Botaanikaaed - Review

Located on the banks of the Pirita River, the Tallinn Botanic Garden is the largest botanical garden in Estonia. The garden consists of an open-air collection and a greenhouse collection with native plants cared for here along with the garden’s on-going research.

In spite of the rich plant life seen here throughout the park, the arboretum and the beautiful rose garden are the highlight of the place. If you love plants, a walk here is refreshing and relaxing.

Tallinna Botaanikaaed, Tallinn Reviews

  • The glasshouses contain a great vary of tropical and subtropical plants, depending on the time of year for flowering. The grounds are extensive and varied areas of trees and shrubs. Worth a visit and not expensive with a senior's discount. Cafe sells cheaper and good value food

  • We visited at the wrong time of year, but there was still plenty to see. The park is lovely and there are loads of spots to picnic or relax. The greenhouse has a nice selection of plants and flowers with some pretty impressive samples in the atrium. In summer this place will be great. Not a lot of parking though. You can get a combined ticket with the nearby TV tower to save some money.

  • Really enjoyed this place. Even during winter time, it's still a good place to visit. Price of admission is cheap and there are plenty of things to see. During summer time the are lots of plants and flowers outside, though you still need to buy a ticket.

  • A great sightseeing. Feel just you would have been at 1900 year there! Interesting place!

  • Very interesting object to visit. Tour guide gives very detailed explanations about different varieties of plants.
