Gallo Fino Reviews & Ratings

  • Drinks were the best part of our anniversary dinner: the Bloody Mary and Mai Tai were delicious. The meal, however, nothing special. The beef in the burrito was tasteless and the roasted chicken wasn't the greatest. The plantain chips were good, and the salad and fries were basic and good as well. Presentation was nice. All in all, sadly the saddest meal we've had in a week in Costa Rica, and happened to be on a night we were celebrating.

  • Good food and attentive friendly service. But restaurant needs more fans or air cooling system. When we were there it felt oppressively stuffy and hot. We moved seats to be right underneath one of the few slow motion moving fans but still we couldn't wait to finish our meal and leave:( Our waiter was working alone (Sat night) and taking care of 11 tables at one time, some with 5-6 guests!! So service albeit attentive and friendly was slow. My steak was tender and tasty but came out rare (instead of medium). Overall it was a fair experience..

  • Good food and cheap drinks. I frequent visit this place and after I leave I start to wonder why I returned, then it hits me...the food brings me back, specially the casados. However, the service is extremely slow an un-attentive, do not expect a refill of water or ice with your meals. You’ll see the waitstaff three (3) times, upon arriving to take your order, delivering your order and handling the check. Again the food is good, but the service needs a huge improvement. Somehow I know I’m going back because the food is good, and while I’m seating there hate the service.

  • The food was excellent and the staff was very kind and polite. Some of the best plantains I've ever eaten. Highly recommended

  • Eat piece of beef since I’ve been in Costa Rica. Came here for a quick lunch. Found price to be low for the quality of the food. I ordered beef tenderloin and wife ordered a beef burrito. Both met and exceeded our expectations. Staff was friendly and attentive. Outdoor dining. Tip is included with bill.
