I went to the PALMS INN formerly known as the DAYS INN. I moved in the 1st of October, Sewer water started leaking in my room bad and smelling. I contact the office to have maintenance come. She said they were gone for the day. I said you need to have the manager or owner come this is a emergency. I couldn't use the bathroom, so they gave me use of a room on the third floor. They came the next day and fix the toilet. We assume it was fix, NOT it kept leaking sewer water into my room, 3 times I had to mop it up. Well the toilet finally broke, stop working. They had to move me Sunday the 7th. Not once did they say we will give you a credit or nights free for my inconvenience and inhaling the sewage smell. All that I went through in 1 week and they wouldn't let me stay until Wednesday morning to pay. I put me out 9pm at night Monday. I had nowhere to go at that time. Please don't stay there. ROOM 132 BAD TOILET
This place is terrible. It is infested with roaches and fleas. The rooms are dirty and not maintained at all. The room smelled moldy and musty. They don't even provide bed linens and or toiletries. You even have to buy your own shower curtain. The staff I must admit two of the ladies were pretty nice.. But the guy from management Edward is extremly rude. He is racist and likes to humiliate tenants. He also has the tendency to kick people off the premises and then steal their things. They threw my husband out his room wearing only shorts and was not allowed to go back not even to recover his wallet, and his phone. Didn't even stay the week and they do absolutely ZERO refunds... Thiefs. I would never ever recommend this place to someone.
This place is very quiet, peaceful, the only times I seen this place get rough is when the people don't want to follow the rules and want to do what they want without caring for other but lucky the management don't take bull from anyone. I feel safe here and it's afforable. I haven't any bed bug, fleas or roaches at all and I have been living here for 8 months now. They have pest control come out and spray the rooms down, the front desk is very nice and understanding. I see all these negative reviews but I guess those where the bad tenants that got kicked out for not following the rules and didn't know how to respect the their neighbors or the employees.
First off, I would like to point out that two of the very few 5 star ratings from Darlene M and Edward M are both the managers of this slummy establishment. They are both rude individuals and will argue with you about anything, especially Darlene. My girlfriend stayed at this place for one week while she was traveling for work. The first thing that struck us as odd was that they did not provide her with any bed linens. She had to go to the store and purchase them herself. The internet never worked, and the mini fridge in her room never worked. When she brought this to the attention of Darlene, she was met with, "We will get maintenance to check it out and fix it." Nobody came to her room, so I called the front desk and spoke with Darlene, which took a few times of calling because nobody picked up. The conversation started out with her snapping at me because I "woke her up" from her nap. I told her what was going on and asked if someone could please go replace the broken refrigerator. She immediately got snippy with me and accused me of sneaking into her crappy motel to be with my girlfriend. I was so shocked at her accusations and was on the phone with her for 45 minutes arguing with her. I finally got fed up with her and told her that she was being a b**ch for absolutely no reason. At that point, she threatened to have my girlfriend kicked out. All in all, the WORST motel experience my girlfriend and I have ever had. Spend your money elsewhere - you will thank me later.
Didn't even get to stay. One star for talking to a nice security guard the day before booking a weekly room and a nice front desk guy the day of. Problem is he told me they now take credit cards too. I signed an agreement of rules and he reserved a room for me. I came back later in the day to check in and pay with a credit card. The lady at the desk tried the card then said the machine isn't working and I'd have to pay cash. After asking her to tear my rules agreement up and I declined the room, outside four cop cars zoomed into the parking lot. I decided that's a No Sale.
