The mall, which borders the airport, was opened in 2001 to provide tourists and locals with an upscale dining and shopping location. It’s 200 specialty stores and 15 restaurants quickly made it one of Tampa’s favourite hangouts. Even if you’re not shopping or dining, it’s worth coming here just to people watch. The restaurants are mostly located on Bay Street (and intimate sort of place designed to look like a sidewalk), and the high end shopping stores are close to the International Plaza. The Renaissance Hotel Tampa/International Plaza is one of the only hotels I America located within a mall.

International Plaza And Bay Street Reviews & Ratings
So many bar & restaurant options to choose from! Bay Street is an open air beautiful courtyard area that offers both outdoor and indoor seating at the many different restaurants; all of which are new, trendy or always updating. They have valet parking, covered parking and lot parking. The stores inside are also trendy, new and popular. Also, many exclusive upscale boutiques and anchor stores. International Plaza and Bay Street could easily be a two day destination for travelers from TIA or staycationers. Oh, and there is a Renaissance Hotel as well.
This mall is absolutely beautiful! I was there to visit the Apple store which is mind blowing and their staff members are extremely knowledgeable and have a system put in that keeps the customers moving and they had a 30 person line before even opening. The staff sings and welcomes you to their store. The malls google map is spot on and makes parking very simple. But, one must have a substantial income to afford anything in the mall.
I am re reviewing this place. We went back a second time because the first time was great. So we ate dinner and stayed for the second happy hour and it was both a huge disappointment. Wait staff was accomodating, but quality was way down from the first visit. Drink portion sizes were half the size and weak. Spent $100 for two, what a rip-off. Will never be back.
This is a nice mall and their Bay Street has good restaurants. The stores here are high end and a b it pricey but they do have many good places to shop. I also like all the choices for lunch or dinner. They even have valet parking if it is really busy and you can't find a parking spot (that can happen since it is very popular)
I love this mall. It's beautifully maintained...You can pretty much find anything you are looking for. It also has a nice food court as well as other restaurants and pubs...
