Taos Pueblo Tourism

Located in Taos County, New Mexico, and slightly north of Taos, Taos Pueblo is a CDP or Census-Designated Place. As of the 2000 census, the place featured a total population of around 1,200. Based on the data gathered by the United States Census Bureau, the CDP spreads across 15.6 square miles with no water bodies. According to UNESCO and the National Historic Landmark, Taos Pueblo is the only remaining living Native American community that has been awarded a World Heritage Site. It should be known that the multi-story buildings of Taos Pueblo have been inhabited for over 1,000 years. Additionally, the average income of the people living in Taos Pueblo is around $20,000. The place falls within Taos Municipal Schools, making it directly responsible for operating the Taos High School.
